Boy scouts

Last night as I was messing around in the garage (with the new nail guns) some kid came up on the driveway and asked if I wanted to buy Boy Scout popcorn. I declined. I don't have any issue with the Boy Scouts or whatever, but that stuff is expensive. And at work ... I can get all sorts of popcorn products for a lot less.

The only issue was karma. That is, I then pictured a few years down the road when I'd be driving Asim around the neighborhood doing the same thing.

Guess it wouldn't have hurt to get a box.

$5 of the $15.00 box is profit for their community service activities.

I agree it is a tough sale compared to Girl Scout Cookies that sale for half the price.

Do not feel bad as the yes and no responses are never taken personal and each attempt helps build character for the kids.

At least you did not yell at them as I have read some blogs where people had police come out because of no soliciting in a HOA only to find themselves being arrested for assaulting a minor. Now that is karma. :)

However, if you still feel bad you can donate $5 (the profit from the sale) to the troop the next time around. :)
