Breakdown

Not sure what possessed me to do this, but the flat screen is, indeed, on its way. I still managed to keep some frugality at the forefront -- it's refurbished, and I bought it online ... so while I paid shipping, there wasn't any tax. Oddly, it's going to show up right in time for Bowl season and college basketball games. ... so yes, we got cable, too. Hey, ok? It's a long, cold winter here. You have no idea.

Congrats. You will always remember the first time you look at your new TV on the wall, and think to yourself "holy crap this thing is huge." And then your wife walks in and while looking at it says "are you kidding?"
