Last Party

This weekend we managed to go to five parties, one of which was our wedding reception. I'll have pictures shortly, once we wade through the gifts and the extra food. The other parties were as follows:

Saturday at noon Maria and I drove to Philadelphia to meet with Shannon and others who were in town for Sunday's reception. She and her roommates hosted a lovely brunch. After that, we headed back to Lancaster to Adam's parent's house for a barbecue. We were able to grill despite the rain. The guest list was sort of a Holiday Party "lite" edition. That afternoon we watched Smarty Jones lose, continuing that great Philly tradition of choking when it counts. Good thing I didn't put any money on the race.

Saturday evening after Adam's party, we came back home to find more guests. Family friends who we hung out with until we were really, really sleepy. Then it occurred to us that it was just Saturday.

Sunday was the big reception at Lauxmont Farms in Wrightsville. It didn't rain, despite the threatening skies. I hope everyone had a good time and it seems like they did. The food was great all around, and there's plenty left for the rest of the week. Pictures will follow once I solicit a few from friends and family.

And of course, after the reception, all of the family friends who were sleeping over were back at the house for more fun, so we didn't get to sleep last night till nearly three. But I managed to make it into work today.

We also determined that the Fourth Annual Holiday Party will be on December 26th. So uh, mark your calendars.
