Home Alone

Lots of updates since the last posting, of course. But that's what happens when you wait weeks and weeks and weeks. We'll go in alphabetical order with the family:

Asim: Turned four months old on Feb 5th! He's gotten the rolling over thing figured out, but it's still a bit clumsy. I think if he's really determined he can pull it off. We've also started to try to feed him some actual food. And by that I mean the Gerber stuff. Rice and oatmeal, blenderificated stuff. He takes it, but he's not a huge fan yet. I'm just waiting for when I put in a plate of nachos into the blender and give that to him.

He's also growing and gaining weight pretty well. He was about 20 lbs at four months. He was putting on weight pretty quickly before but has slowed down a bit, which is all within the normal development curves. It's harder to tell if he's getting taller. He's over two feet at least.

We're also pretty sure he's teething now. This is mainly due to the screaming for no reason attributes he shows. We got some Orajel which seems to work. I dunno. I think it'll get pretty bad for him pretty soon.

Maria: She and Asim left yesterday (Saturday) for Pakistan for about seven weeks. Hence the "Home Alone" bit for this post. Her brother is going to get married at the end of February. She's been handling Asim really well, and I think that once they get back the driving lessons will begin. I will likely be buying a used car in the next few weeks. So if anybody knows of a decent 2001 or newer used Volvo station wagon, I'd appreciate it. Not the cross-country, though. I like the regular ones better.

Rehan: Well, home alone, plenty of time, and plenty to do. Mainly getting my ass to the gym as often as possible so I can lose some weight. I'm going to post later on a few goals for the next few weeks, and we can all see how many I actually accomplish. In the meantime, there are plenty of photos o'er on Flickr. At least I update that all the time!
