Slowly getting stuff done

So Friday was another day off for me. It was mostly voluntary, but I told people I might not be coming in ... first thing on the agenda was a visit to the dentist. Here's the thing. I'm married to a dentist. And despite her daily efforts to tell me to floss, I don't. It's not something I'm in the habit of doing. Yet. Anyway, I'm having some slight pain in my teeth, so I wanted to make sure that yes, I do have a giant problem and yes, I'm going to need multiple root canals.

No.

Nothing major. Just one of my fillings maybe making some sweet love to the nerve and causing the occasional ache.

But I'll be going in a few weeks for a regular checkup, cleaning, sandblasting, mining, etc., operation. I shall have to remember to charge my iPod. I'm sure it'll take all morning.

I managed to get a lot of other errands run on Friday, so I was stoked about that. That included a trip to the Indianapolis Museum of Art. Which is now free! I didn't see all of it -- figured I'd save some for later.

I also bought some magnetic sheets of paper. I ordered Moo cards a long, long time ago. (When they had free shipping for a while). Some of you may have seen them or heard of them. I ended up turning about 30 of the cards that I still have into refrigerator magnets. They turned out really well. They don't hold up papers that well on the fridge, but hey, if you get enough of them, it's all good.

Today it's Saturday and ... more snow. There's a few more inches on the ground, but based on what I can see, there's not really a traffic issue. The roads are probably just a little slushy or wet. I don't have anything that I'm dying to do, but at least I can hit up the gym.

Actually, that's the funny thing. I have all this time now on my hands. And doing domestic chores isn't a high priority. I mean, I want to reorganize a drawer. But then I'm like, 'shouldn't I do that tomorrow when I'm watching the Daytona 500?' Or laundry. What do I have, like two loads? That's not going to take any effort. Maybe later today.

I, too, have a filling that's making sweet love to my nerve, and the dentist said I will have to get a root canal... sometime between tomorrow and ten years from now. And they don't offer that nitrous gas for adults. What shall I do?
